Reshafting

What it covers
Pulling a shaft without wrecking the head is the part that goes wrong, and it is the part worth paying someone for. Steel comes out with heat and patience; graphite comes out with a puller and no shortcuts, because a shaft that splits in the hosel takes the head with it.
Tip trimming is done to the manufacturer’s chart or to your spec, and the length and swing weight are set afterwards rather than hoped for.
Adjustable heads. Adapters are pulled, cleaned and refitted square, so the markings still mean what they say when you put it back together.
On the bench: epoxy has to cure. Two to four days, and there is no rush option — a club that goes out early is a head that comes off on a range mat.
