A small bench that writes everything down.
TAC Golf Co started because of a set of irons that came back from a big-box regrip feeling wrong, and nobody could say why. The answer turned out to be three clubs with old tape left underneath, and one grip a size up from the rest.
None of that was malice. It was volume. When you are doing forty sets a week at a counter, the twenty minutes per set that makes the difference is the twenty minutes you do not have.
So we built the shop around those twenty minutes. Fewer sets, measured properly, with a sheet that proves it.
How we work
Measure it or do not claim it.
Every number on this site comes off a scale, a gauge or a job sheet. If we cannot measure a service properly, that bench stays shut until we can.
Tell people the boring truth.
Soft grips wear faster. Cord hurts bare hands. A full-set change moves swing weight. None of that helps us sell more, and all of it helps you buy once.
Never work on a surprise.
A cracked ferrule or a splintered shaft butt becomes a photo and a question, not a line on an invoice you did not expect.
Write down what we did.
Grip, size, wrap count, swing weight, per club. So the next regrip is a repeat rather than a fresh guess — here or anywhere else.
