Rubber: Consistent and durable. The right default for most players.
A dual-compound rubber: a firmer, more textured upper section for control, blending into a softer, smoother lower section for comfort and feedback. No cord anywhere, so it stays comfortable gloveless while still giving the upper hand something to bite into.
A good middle path for players who want more security than a Tour Velvet but find full cord punishing.
On the bench: the transition between compounds is a visual line down the grip, so alignment matters more than usual. We set these square to the face and check down the shaft on every club.
