Rubber: Consistent and durable. The right default for most players.
A soft, low-rebound compound with a pronounced flat front that gives your thumbs an unambiguous reference. If you struggle to put your hands on the putter the same way twice, a flat front fixes more than people expect.
Closer to a conventional putter grip in diameter than the oversize options, so it will not change the look of a classic blade.
On the bench: putter grips need their own tape treatment and are almost always fitted square to the face rather than to the shaft. We check alignment with the putter soled, not in the vise.
